Making Slime!
We used glue, water, glitter, shaving foam and detergent to make the slime.
First get some PVA glue and put some into a bowl. Then get some shaving foam, a squirt your desired amount in the bowl. Then mix thoroughly. Next add some 'Formil' laundry detergent slowly bit by bit. Be careful! Don't add too much at a time. Finally mix altogether. When it starts pulling away from the bowl take it out and play with it until it is no longer sticky. Keep in an air tight container or a zip lock bag so you can keep it and it will not dry up.

Making a Periscope
First we cut the top and bottom off of two milk cartons. Next we taped them together. After that we cut two holes, one on the top of one side and the other on the bottom of the other side. We inserted small mirrors facing the holes at an angle of 45 degrees approximately. Once we successfully inserted the mirrors we decorated it to our liking!

Cup Challenge
As part of a stem activity the children worked in groups to build a pyramid. The only rule was they could not touch the cups. They were given elastic bands and together they devised different approaches in order to complete the task.
Space
The children designed astronauts as part of Space Week.
Milk & Vinegar
By adding the vinegar to the milk we created a chemical reaction which caused the milk to separate into two parts, the curds (solid) and whey (liquid). The protein in the curds is what makes it act like rubber/plastic.
Light Experiment
We experimented with light how it travels, bends, and refracts. The children also investigated light pollution and its effect on the environment.
How I saved Fred!
There is a worm named Fred. He was on a boat. Fred will die if he goes in the water so I had the task of saving little Fred's life. So I made a harness to elevate Fred for enough time so that I could slip over Fred's boat to get his life preserver with just 4 paperclips.
